We are pleased to provide you with two self-assessment tools that you can use to help you prepare for the licensure process in Canada.

The starting point in your licensure journey should be the Readiness for Pharmacy Practice in Canada Self-Assessment. With this online tool you are provided with an orientation to the practice of pharmacy in Canada and detailed information about the licensure requirements in Canada. The questions are presented in a way that will enable you reflect on your preparedness before embarking upon the licensure process. It will also help you to manage your expectations with respect to the practice of pharmacy and the costs and time associated with obtaining a license in Canada.

The cost to purchase the Readiness for Pharmacy Practice in Canada Self-Assessment is $95 + tax, if applicable. You must enrol in the Gateway or have a guest account in order to purchase this self-assessment tool. Please note that the fee is not refundable. The second tool, the Pharmacy Practice Skills and Knowledge Self-Assessment, focuses on the professional competencies for Canadian pharmacists at entry to practice. It is intended to help you evaluate how your pharmacy skills and knowledge compare with the standards required for Canadian practice and to help you identify areas where you may require additional education or training. This self-assessment provides you with a series of multiple choice questions and video scenarios. A resource list is provided at the end of the self-assessment to help you set up a learning plan to address any gaps in your skills and knowledge.
